Games that the people ( and the politicians) play : Largesse of Aam Aadami Party

Games that the people ( and the politicians) play : Largesse of Aam Aadami Party

We had last discussed the writing ( read distortion ) of history by the victors. Here is an example.

In this case, it is not a war but the provincial election in Delhi, which threw up a surprising result.

Arvind Kejriwal aka AK67 (changed recently from AK49) and his Man Friday Manish Sisodiya are all over TV today, gloating over their largesse to the poor aam aadami (common people) of Delhi.

These charlatans (forgive me) are taking pride in their actions whereas what they have done is totally unwarranted. Agreed that people need proper supply of power and water but giving it for free ( well subsidised ) is entirely unnecessary and may eventually turn suicidal.

AK and his newly anointed team are aware that they have won a massive mandate and hence anyone will think thrice before criticising it in any way. This is a situation like the issue of reservations, which nobody likes and nobody accepts, but no one would ever dare to oppose openly.

AK & AAP are aware that they have nothing to loose. If they are short of funds, they may blame the Centre for not providing enough funds to Delhi. And also if for any reason water is in short supply, then they may always blame the Centre and Haryana (now ruled by BJP).

Ironically, only yesterday Arvind was there in the morcha taken out by his guru against proposed land acquisition act, and there he (AK) has declared that he will not allow any acquisition of land in Delhi (while accepting that his govt has no powers in this regard).

Now reconcile this with the fact that he wants to open several new schools and colleges in Delhi (such a right thing to do ) and has already asked the Centre and DDA ( agency controlled by Centre ) to provide the land required for these proposed new schools and colleges.

No book on management science ever mentioned these games that the people ( and the politicians) usually play.
