Hoisting of Tricolor in Universities : Is it a bad thing ?

Is Modi trying to perpetuate Hindutva ideology and scuttle Free thinking in otherwise secular Indian Universities by mandating hoisting of Tricolor ?

I was asked to comment on the above question in a public forum where any one may raise any kind of query and enlightened readers reply. This is my answer :

How I wish if the questions of this type could be avoided . In my view, the national symbols like Tricolour need to be kept away, rather far above, the sectarian debate.

Anyhow, why should any citizen of India, who claims to be ‘a free thinking person’, have an issue with hoisting of Tricolour, be it in the universities or anywhere else.

I wonder if it is a question or whether it is yet again some kind of ugly rhetoric by the section of people who have only hate for both - for Mr. Narendra Modi and Hindutva.

Guys, wake up before it is too late. Tricolour does not stop you from thinking freely.

By the way, only an ignoramus would think that Hindutva is against free thinking.

Besides, the requisite for free thinking is trust and devotion - not hate and suspicion.
